Shape Run 2017 – Our 3rd 1.8KM Family Run with Skechers!
[Sponsored] The Shape Run has somewhat become special and iconic for us as a family. We have been participating every year since my Jerome is still a baby in a stroller. He is now a 4.5yo and finishes the run by himself with gusto. How far we have come! This year is our 3rd 1.8km Family Run. Read about our previous 1.8km family runs in 2016 & 2015. The boys were super excited once they knew about it. They even know the drill when we picked up our Skechers shoes from the store and has been really excited about getting medals for their race. I know, strange motivation they have there (must…

I hope to blog about all that soon, so do check back ok? I am still living life to the fullest and clocking in all sorts of experiences and it’s been pretty awesome so far. Last week, the Choo Family was in the Shape Run! The kids were all psyched with the race ever since they received their new Skechers shoes some weeks back from the Skechers store in Ngee Ann City The kids rocking in their new Skechers kicks…

BounceOFF! Race with the Hubby!
So, I said I wanted to be a little healthier in 2015. I started the year rather well (or so I think), and I picked up blading again (after a few years hiatus thanks to child bearing), and I also dabbled my hands into rock-climbing lately. All these sporty activities of mine are rubbing off the husband and I am happy to declare that he is quite fit recently and clocking in at least a few runs a week. I’m rather impressed with his progress, more than so my own. The recent haze is making us very gloomy, and we have since stopped a lot of the out-door activities that…

Shape Run 2015 – 1.8km Family Fun Run for the Choos!
[Sponsored Post] We’ve clocked in the first family run this year with Shape Run 2015! This year, we are pretty pleased that the Shape Run introduced a new category 1.8km Family Fun Run. So different from the previous years where I am the only one running with the kids and the husband is at the sidelines (read our 2014 Shape Run & 2013 Shape Run experiences). Guess who was the most hyped up person? The husband of cos! He’s into running these days and is always competing with me the distance he has clocked. He’s super happy that he doesn’t have to hang around and wait for the race to end. We arrived way…

Shape Run 2014 with Skechers!
Shape Run is here again for 2014! I started out participating in the Shape Run by running individually (official photos here) many years back, and then I took part in the stroller run last year, and this year, I participated in the Mini Me Race! How things have changed! So, I enrolled in the 1.8km Mini Me race and was sooooooooo excited about it, but guess what? I TOTALLY MISSED THE RACE. :((((((((((((((( How could I right?!?! I was equally upset about it. The night before.. the boys were totally cranky and didn’t settle till 2+ in the morning. I was so thrashed and tired from putting them into bed, and texted Estella…

Cold Storage Kids Run 2014, Gardens by the Bay
We went for the Cold Storage Kids Run this year again! You can read about our last year’s experience but this year was really exciting because it was held at The Meadow, Gardens By the Bay! I signed both the husband and myself up with the kids, and we were really looking forward to all the fun. The husband went for the Singapura Finance Blue Sky Run with Jerry and I went for the S-26 Family Stroller Fun Run. I can’t wait till next year where we can all be in the same race! I didn’t manage to check out much of the activities at the event because we were…

Shape Stroller Fun Run with Capella Stroller (Cony S230T)
it’s been 6 years since i last did a shape run. i usually participate in the 5m or 10km race categories but this time round, i took part in the Shape 2.4km Stroller Fun Run. I had to wake the husband and the kids to pack them out of the house even before the sun is up! Barely 7am in the morning, and here we are, with bright smiles and happy faces. L-R: Lynn, myself, Irene & Mabel at the Shape Run 2013. The run was originally slated to be on 7 July but was postponed to 27 Oct due to the haze. the 3 months wait was quite a pain…

Jerry goes for the Cold Storage Kids Run 2013!
if you have met or seen jerry in real life, you will know that i have a very active boy on my hands. he sprints away for some fun the moment an opportunity opens up, or is ever ready for a game of catching where he runs and mummy/daddy chases after him, or around a pillar (he loves the pillar thing!). so we were really excited that Jerry is finally of age to join the cold storage kids run this year! i was pretty sure he’ll be a champ and run ALL the way, judging at how he loves to run, all the time. turns out, things never quite happens…

deliberating on the following… i wanted to do the run because it’s something different with the obstacles. but then, i’m holding back because I am so afraid that I’ll get really tanned in the process. HOW? ultimate dilemma. You can find out more or sign up HERE.

jp morgan run
i am slowly catching up with the backlogs. but i guess it’s never as good as when the event is fresh in your mind. i feel so sucky about this, because on the day of the run, i was feeling shivers down my spine in the morning, sneezed non stop in the early morning and i tried to remedy the situation by downing glasses and glasses of water and as well as a vit c effervescent. i thought i could make it throughout, but the cramps and the stitches apparently were the show stoppers. oh wells. at least i did have fun posing for pictures, staring at people running past…
