I love it when my kids are happy. Their smiles are like a big testimony that I am doing great as a mum, that I’m doing good and making all the right choices for them. As long as my kids are happy and smiling, nothing else really matters to me.

I love seeing my kids’ smiley faces! They are like the brightest sparks in my life and I wish my kids would always be happy. Of cos, there are many factors that contributes to a young child’s happiness. Although not all factors can be within my control as a mum, I would always try to ensure that my kids are being loved, placed in a positive fun environment with loads of play and ensuring that they are always comfortable in both their clothes as well as their diapers. I believe in choosing the best ones possible within my means simply because I don’t have really have an endless deep pocket.

I previously wrote about my choice of diapers, and today, I want to share about making the switch to big boy pants, aka pants diapers!

Do you know when is a good time to switch your kids to pants diapers? About 2 years ago, I switched Jerry out to pants diaper only when he went to school and toilet training was on the cards, but little did I know.. With the second kid, I’m made more aware and of cos, a little more experienced.

While the pants diapers are commonly used for potty training (it is more convenient for them to go to the toilet and aids the the child’s movement), pants diapers can be used as early as when your child turns 7kg, or in my own books, somewhat around the time when they start FLIPPING NON-STOP. Are you struggling to change out your kid’s diaper because he is constantly flipping and you can’t wear a normal diaper properly?

Try the pants diaper. Just pull it up like a normal pair of pants! Simple, fuss free and easy peasy! Front or back facing, it can be worn easily. For the slightly older babies, like Jerome who is about 1.5yo now, putting him in pants diapers is also a way of showing him that he is growing up and moving onto another stage in life. It’s like, he is the same as his gor gor now!

Jerome is at the stage where he wants to imitate what gor gor is doing, and plays what gor gor plays. Putting him in the Drypers Drypantz is like putting him on the same ranks with Jerry and he is more than happy to be wearing it.

For me as a mum, it just spells convenience. It’s so much easier to wear, and I don’t really need the diaper changing room when I’m out anymore. I don’t need to find that flat surface to put the kid lying down before I can wear his diapers properly (and worry about the sanitization of the place he is lying down at). I can change him out of his diapers standing up, and that means literally anywhere. Its a lot fuss free, yet it provides the same absorbency and comfort for my kid, keeping him dry and happy.

The thing that impresses me the most? The Drypers Drypantz can last throughout the night without any leaks. I always thought that the pants diaper are not meant to hold in as much pee and aren’t as absorbent, but it is still good for me to use in the nights.

The Drypantz are also uber soft and comfy. It’s feel cloth-like and not plasticky like how I envisioned it to be. I ran my hands through the waistband and stretched it and found it very comfortable, just like a piece of soft clothing would be.

I like how the Comfort FitTM waistbands are totally comfortable, airy and cloth-like. I don’t feel any of the elastic tightness around my skin/hands even when I stretched it tight, which means that the baby enjoys maximum comfort with redness and pressure marks reduced and mostly, prevented.

I also like how the waistband hugs around the curves of my hand, giving a snug fit over my uneven fingers in this scenario. I would imagine it perfect for having a snug fit around my baby’s waist.

Oh, oh, oh! On a totally irrelevant note (or maybe relevant afterall), I totally love the 2 new mascots that Drypers Drypantz has! I have a penchant for cute things (if you haven’t already realised). Being mum doesn’t mean I can’t do cute.

Airy is a colourful little pinwheel that embodies breathability and better air circulation.

Softie is a fluffly little cloud that embodies softness and comfort.

Together, they represent Drypers Drypantz’s Comfort FitTM waistband that create a more comfortable fitting – extra soft, gentle and comfy, extra breathable, and helps reduce pressure formed on the skin at baby’s tummy and waist area.

Here’s my fatty cutie wearing the Drypers Drypantz to sleep one day. He woke up the next day some 12 hours later, with no leaks. And no, I don’t normally have the habit of changing the kids’ diapers in the middle of the night, so mummy here get to clock in as much sleep as possible, which makes me a happier mum!

Hi there! Thanks for popping by. I'm Cherie, a ftwm (full-time working mum) to 3 lovely kids (2 boys & a princess) and my motto in life is to BE HAPPY. Sure, life isn't all that smooth but it's the mentality that counts, no? This blog documents my life. Or rather, snippets of my life that has passed me by. I love capturing life memories in the blog and being able to read back and laugh at myself (or anyone). I love to eat (A LOT), travel and paint my own nails so the blog is mostly about that. Is that considered lifestyle? Of cos, the family is also very much an integral part of me so there would be loads of memories about the husband and my kids - Jerry (9yo), Jerome (7yo) and Leia (2.5yo) and everyone else that's close to me. I like documenting the kids' milestones, their growing up years, their achievements (and sometimes, mine), and my struggles and battles with motherhood. It sure ain't easy. I love seeking out good food and travelling, is trigger-happy, love new gadgets, love exploring new places and strives to live life to the fullest. I aspire to travel the world as much as I can, to soak in the different sights across the various continents and visit all the Disneylands in the world (almost there!). Have fun reading and do drop me a comment to say hi! Love, Cherie Lim Find me on Instagram.
