It’s the week of school holidays! Still not sure where to bring your kids to or haven’t started planning? I would totally recommend Disney On Ice! The Wonderful World of Disney on Ice in here in Singapore and runs from 15 – 19 March 2017 for 10 performances at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Don’t miss it!

My boys caught their first Disney On Ice performance this week! They have been so excited and have been asking me to bring them to the show after watching the advertisements on TV. Big thanks to the team at Disney on Ice, the boys are now able to make their wishes come true!

Hello! It’s been a while since I last sat myself down to blog. Life’s been busy – travels, work, and I recently picked up brush calligraphy and the piano! I hope to blog about all that soon, so do check back ok? I am still living life to the fullest and clocking in all sorts of experiences and it’s been pretty awesome so far.

Last week, the Choo Family was in the Shape Run! The kids were all psyched with the race ever since they received their new Skechers shoes some weeks back from the Skechers store in Ngee Ann City

Keeping Slim with Absolute Slimming

By |June 2nd, 2016|

[Sponsored Post]

Some months ago, I blogged about my journey with Absolute Slimming. I lost 4kg in a month and go read my review if you haven’t already done so! Warning though, unsightly fats in pictures might make you vomit.

I was super thrilled with the results obviously. It gave me renewed confidence, and a bigger wardrobe because I was no longer struggling to fit in my old clothes and I could wear *almost* everything I wanted.

2 months on and 3 holiday trips, I continued treatment with Absolute Slimming. After all, holidays, good food and the waistline don’t go well together. The good news is, due to the increased metabolism from the first round of treatment, I only put on about 1kg after holidaying for almost a month. Not much rebound on the weight loss.

So, I went through 8 more treatment sessions of the same drill – watching what I eat, doing cupping therapy […]

My weight-loss journey with Absolute Slimming.

By |March 15th, 2016|

Here’s the fact – I lost 4kg in a month with Absolute Slimming. I still eat 3 meals a day, drank alcohol on some occasions and gave up only 2hrs per week for the non-invasive slimming programme.

This blog post is like a big reveal of mine – of a secret (bulge) that I have kept hidden for many years of my life… and honestly, I know some of you are going to go away reading this blog post thinking “NO WAY!” but, if not for the fact that I managed to get it smaller… trust me, I wouldn’t want it out in the open too.

So, I have always struggled with a tum tum. I hear a few “Huh!” and “Seriously?!” already. Yeah, you read me right. I DO have that problem… I’m just pretty good at sucking it up (literally). I used to be able to contain […]

5 Christmas gift ideas for the husband!

By |December 21st, 2015|

Christmas is just days away… and I know many people are still doing their last minute shopping for Christmas gifts. I..uhh.. admit to be one of them. I still need to get a few more gifts. Shopping for ideal gifts can sometimes be quite a pain!

Every year, I crack my head on what Christmas gift to buy for my husband. This year, I brainstormed long and hard way in advance and here’s 5 gift ideas for husbands.

1. An Omega Watch

Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch

Every one needs a watch to tell the time. Ok, maybe in this time and era, most people can tell time from their mobile phones. But a watch can be a fashion statement or a status symbol. One can consider buying the most famous chronograph watch – Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch. As the first watch worn on the […]

Checking out Arts in Your Neighbourhood!

By |November 13th, 2015|

So, we checked out one of the first Arts in Your Neighbourhood (AYN) programmes over the past weekend, and the boys had fun!

Have you heard about Arts in Your Neighbourhood (AYN)  programme? I have! I have always wanted to check it out in the past (yeah, there’s is an arty farty side to me too) but I never found time. I finally did!

If you haven’t, Arts in Your Neighbourhood programme is an enriching arts experience at one’s doorstep. It’s basically a series of interactive arts programmes by established artists and art groups, held at various locations across the island, mostly in the heartlands. Held during the November period where kids are having school holidays, it is a great way to feed your child’s creativity and enrich their development. It is also a great way for the family to bond and expose the kids to more arts. And the good […]

BounceOFF! Race with the Hubby!

By |October 25th, 2015|

So, I said I wanted to be a little healthier in 2015. I started the year rather well (or so I think), and I picked up blading again (after a few years hiatus thanks to child bearing), and I also dabbled my hands into rock-climbing lately. All these sporty activities of mine are rubbing off the husband and I am happy to declare that he is quite fit recently and clocking in at least a few runs a week. I’m rather impressed with his progress, more than so my own.

The recent haze is making us very gloomy, and we have since stopped a lot of the out-door activities that we have been doing over the weekends. BUT, I hope the haze will clear soon because I am so looking forward to the BounceOFF! Race next weekend!

We haven’t done an outdoor family activity […]

New hair colour with The Comb Singapore.

By |September 20th, 2015|

Life’s been busy! So much activities lately, the weekends have been busy with my kid’s blading classes and I hardly have much time to breathe and sleep! The family has also just came back from a fun family trip in Taiwan that I have yet to talk about. So much to do, so little time!

In the midst of all that flurry, I got myself a new hair color! My hair has been black for many years for the sake of easy maintenance but I have been wanting to do something to my hair for a while now. Something different and something new! I couldn’t perm it because of my bleached ends, so I opted for a completely new hair colour! So, here’s my before and after pictures, taken on the same day!

My hair was completely black (natural hair color) with bleached streaks of green before. It’s quite dry looking and totally […]

Better tasting water with 3M Water Filter!

By |August 3rd, 2015|

Having moved into my own place for almost 2 years now, there has been something that I haven’t really gotten used to – the taste of the water from the tap. It tastes quite different from what I used to drink at my mum’s place. Even as the self-proclaimed water guzzler who easily drinks up to 4 litres a day, I sometimes do cringe at the taste of the water at my place and finds myself reaching for the chilled water in the fridge because it tastes better.

Are you nodding in agreement? I never had issues with the taste of tap water until now and the water taste is a lot more apparent in room temperature water which is my preferred choice of drink. Guess what came to save my day?

3M Water Filter!

Honestly, I never really bothered with learning more […]

Shape Run 2015 – 1.8km Family Fun Run for the Choos!

By |August 3rd, 2015|

[Sponsored Post] We’ve clocked in the first family run this year with Shape Run 2015! This year, we are pretty pleased that the Shape Run introduced a new category 1.8km Family Fun Run. So different from the previous years where I am the only one running with the kids and the husband is at the sidelines (read our 2014 Shape Run & 2013 Shape Run experiences). Guess who was the most hyped up person? The husband of cos! He’s into running these days and is always competing with me the distance he has clocked. He’s super happy that he doesn’t have to hang around and wait for the race to end. We arrived way before the flag off time this year because I didn’t want to disappoint the kids and let last year’s incident repeat (we missed the race). We had a bit of time to wander around and take pictures with mascots. I […]
