SG50 Family Fun with FOX Kids & Baby!

Over the last weekend, the boys got to attend a really cool and fun event! In celebration of the SG50 week, the team at FOX Kids & Baby organised a old school/retro themed media preview for the Fall Winter’15 collection at the City Square Mall outlet. The shop was closed off for a private event and the boys were really in for a treat!

The City Square Mall outlet was somewhat being transformed, and they had a corner filled with old school treats that I could very much relate to as an 80’s kid!  There were Doraemon boxed snack that comes with a toy (I loved this as a kid!), number 8 chocolates, BobDog cigarettes sweets, the sugar drop biscuits, mamee, and a lot more! Jerry was perpetually stuck in that corner munching away.

So old school, reminds me of my childhood!

It was one of those rare times that I didn’t quite limit my kids. They went crazy! The husband was happily munching away too. The boys had more on their hands to keep them busy. There were some craft stations for the boys to dabble in and my Jerry went on a spree making almost everything that he loved at the dough station.

Jerry made a few different octopuses, made a spider, a cockroach.. I know right. Must be my influence on the cockroaches (I bought him fake roaches as toys when he was much younger).

Even I got down to make myself 2 hair pins featuring the sugar biscuits! It’s really quite fun and there’s something for keeps. The highlight has got to be the new collection of clothes that are already in-store and as well as those that are upcoming!

First up, the girls clothing almost made me wished I had a girl. They are kept simple, a lot less cartoonish designs, and looking more like the adults styles that I totally would wear. There is new introduction of the tartan material, floral designs that looked like anna sui, and simple, classy designs that could transcend fashion trends. I had my eyes on some of them upcoming designs and I am hoping I can fit into the biggest size!

Really stylish clothes that even I would want to wear.

The boys had a lot more faded/distress material which I really love a lot. It’s all the in fashion trends right now

I really like how this impromptu shot turned out! The boys are wearing the exact same design, but in different colors. I like how they also have a few colours of the same design so that there are more options to choose from. Makes it more fun for me to dress my boys as well.

Daddy loves this basketball looking top so I also changed Jerry into it as well. His pants was a little too short for him and I liked how he acted “macho” for the girl beside him. SO HILARIOUS AND FUNNY!

By the way, FOX Fashion Singapore is running a “Caption This!” contest on their facebook. Go find Jerry & Jerome’s picture, leave a caption for it (or any other picture you see there), and the wittiest comment will win $50 worth of Fox’s Kids & Baby clothes!

Disclaimer: We were invited to preview the FOX’s Kids & Baby new collection and the boys were being blessed new clothes. All thoughts and opinions are of my own.

Hi there! Thanks for popping by. I'm Cherie, a ftwm (full-time working mum) to 3 lovely kids (2 boys & a princess) and my motto in life is to BE HAPPY. Sure, life isn't all that smooth but it's the mentality that counts, no? This blog documents my life. Or rather, snippets of my life that has passed me by. I love capturing life memories in the blog and being able to read back and laugh at myself (or anyone). I love to eat (A LOT), travel and paint my own nails so the blog is mostly about that. Is that considered lifestyle? Of cos, the family is also very much an integral part of me so there would be loads of memories about the husband and my kids - Jerry (9yo), Jerome (7yo) and Leia (2.5yo) and everyone else that's close to me. I like documenting the kids' milestones, their growing up years, their achievements (and sometimes, mine), and my struggles and battles with motherhood. It sure ain't easy. I love seeking out good food and travelling, is trigger-happy, love new gadgets, love exploring new places and strives to live life to the fullest. I aspire to travel the world as much as I can, to soak in the different sights across the various continents and visit all the Disneylands in the world (almost there!). Have fun reading and do drop me a comment to say hi! Love, Cherie Lim Find me on Instagram.
