• CoolSculpting Consultation & Treatment – My Fat Freezing Experience

So, I went for CoolSculpting Treatment at Halley Body Slimming Clinic (Halley Body) 3 weeks ago, and I am going to share about my CoolSculpting review. I’ll cover what to expect during the CoolSculpting consultation and treatment procedure in this post. There are so many of you curious beings asking me about it after seeing it on my IG, so here’s the blow-by-blow account. First, here are some facts on CoolSculpting so you can follow through and understand what it is all about, or watch a 1 minute+ YouTube video on how fat freezing work by Dr. Terence Tan of Halley Body. The What: What is CoolSculpting?  CoolSculpting is a…

  • The story behind Leia’s name.

Leia. I get a lot of questions on her name…”Why Leia?” Guess it is apt that I dedicate a blog post on why we chose the name. After having 2 boys with names starting with “J” (Jerry & Jerome), I guess everyone expects the baby’s name to start with a “J” like my boys. Maybe something like a Jasmine, Jolene, Jacqueline, Jerlyn or something. Which reminds me, I never really documented the reason why my boys’ names started with “J”. So, before I unravel the reason behind the name Leia… maybe I should share how we got started with names starting with a “J”. I shared this many times in…

  • Leia in Hospital

    Leia’s Birth Story…

After almost 2 months, I finally found little pockets of time to work on a post about Leia’s birth story. Leia’s birth probably caught A LOT of you by surprise… I didn’t tell people about it (even close friends or relatives), and those people who knew were those that see me frequently. Even so, when enquired, I usually tell them I am fat (till they finally figure it’s not). And then I go “Tadah!” with this IG post on 24 Feb, 2018, about 5hrs right after I have given birth. What that also means is that this pregnancy is not documented, at least not on the social media front. WHY?…

  • Jerome on weighing scale

Things Jerome says #2 – I’ll tell you a secret!

Wow. In Jan last year, I documented the first post on “Things Jerome Says” and then, I totally went missing on this space. Bad mummy. So, this kid does say a lot of funny stuff on a daily basis actually.. but obviously mummy me have been really tardy in blogging in down for memories so i am just gonna try harder in 2018 to jot down these precious memories. My kids have this habit of heading to my mini walk-in wardrobe where my weighing scale is and weigh them occasionally. So, today… der told Jerry to go weigh himself because he thinks he has put on some weight. He weighs…

  • Hello February 2018

The life of my primary one kid.

(Yay! I recovered my blog from the hackers. Police investigations are still underway, updates on that soon.) January 2018 has come and gone. It has been a really interesting month – Jerry starting primary school, the family having a new routine, the kids starting swimming classes, I stopped working (for now), my blog got hacked and Jerome turned 5 years old. Life has been… interesting. But first, back to my primary one kid. It’s been a month, and I don’t quite know what to make out of it. Each time I ask the kid how is school, his answer is always the same – “Like that lor”. When I probed…

  • My parenting style – empower the kids!

I’m back on the blog again! 2 weeks into 2018 and I hope I am making good progress in “reviving” my blog. It’s rather random, adhoc posts for now but I figure I just gotta start somewhere after being rusty for so long! My thoughts today is about empowering my kids – teaching them to fish rather than to hand them the fishes when they are hungry. I have come to realise, that in this fast paced and stressful environment that we parents are in today, we often make the mistake of “doing” stuff for our kids without even thinking about the consequences, or even aware if there is any…

  • First week of 2018 – Jerry starts P1!

The biggest change for the year is actually having a Primary 1 schooling kid. It wrecks instills schedules, requires a lot more planning, and things are getting a little more regimental in the household as compared to the past, where we were slightly more easy and not so sticky about routines. To be honest, I didn’t quite prep my kid on anything. I did attempt to teach him some money matters – identifying the coins and notes and some adding and subtracting exercises but mostly, I wasn’t too consistent on any of those! I didn’t think he learnt much. Oops. Just the day before the school started, I was still…

  • hello 2018

Goodbye 2017, and hello there 2018!

I have officially neglected my blog! In 2017, I have published a grand total of….7 blog posts! Not exactly proud of it, but 2017 has been a relatively interesting year. I started the year with grand plans of achieving a lot – travel and fitness wise.. but as fate would have it. None of it sorta materialised. First up, one of my first goals for 2017 was to attain a Spartan Trifecta, having closed 2016 with a Spartan race in Bintan. I only managed 1 pathetic race in the entire 2017, in Semenyih, Malaysia, with a fever to boot while at it. I was coughing for months before the race, and…

  • Happy birthday to me.

It’s my birthday again. The last one still felt so recent. I am on leave because I don’t really like to work on my birthday! But I forgot to silent the phone when I went to bed the night before and the day started with the phone beeping non stop from my group chats with greetings from 7am onwards. *goans* This year, I made plans to visit the TCM (gotta heal my leg fast for Nepal) and plonked myself at Starbucks for a couple of hours to do work (no choice) and waited for hubby to come pick me up to spend the afternoon together and have dinner. It was just…

  • Conversations with the husband #18 – My wife is a fight stewardess.

This conversation happened earlier this year, when I was updating the husband about my travel plans. It was early January and we just got back from a 3 day holiday in Macau. It was a surprise birthday holiday that the husband knew nothing about till 48hrs before flight time. I wish I could keep the surprise till we reach the airport but unfortunately, it is not very possible with kids in the picture. There are logistics to shift them in with the gramps before the trip happens and packing their stay over bag would be a huge giveaway. Nonetheless, the husband was *still* surprised. So, immediately after the Macau trip,…
