BounceOFF! Race with the Hubby!

So, I said I wanted to be a little healthier in 2015. I started the year rather well (or so I think), and I picked up blading again (after a few years hiatus thanks to child bearing), and I also dabbled my hands into rock-climbing lately. All these sporty activities of mine are rubbing off the husband and I am happy to declare that he is quite fit recently and clocking in at least a few runs a week. I’m rather impressed with his progress, more than so my own.

The recent haze is making us very gloomy, and we have since stopped a lot of the out-door activities that we have been doing over the weekends. BUT, I hope the haze will clear soon because I am so looking forward to the BounceOFF! Race next weekend!

We haven’t done an outdoor family activity for a long time and I hope the skies are clear. If you haven’t already heard, BounceOFF! is Asia’s largest inflatable race. There will be 11 gigantic inflatable obstacles that spans across 3 beaches of Sentosa. Sounds like a lot of fun!

It’s gonna be a couple run for the hubby and me, but because there is also a carnival, I have roped in the in-laws to bring the kids to the carnival so that we can join them after the race. I read that there will be exciting activities such as Zorb balls, bouncy castles, inflatable rock wall, giant foam pool (!!), and heaps of carnival games. Check the promotional video below to find out more.

There is still time to register if you are keen to join the race. I think this is going to be one fun race for sure. Something totally different from all the past races that I have taken part. I’ll be running at the 11am slot so if you are in the race during the same timing, do look out and say hi!

I am feeling a little stress running alongside the husband these days. He used to be trailing behind me in runs.. but now, I’m barely can catch up with him on runs. He really improved his stamina by A WHOLE LOT!

Meanwhile, here’s a silly video of us on a plank challenge at home… with special appearance of Jerry & Jerome whom both decided to join in the fun! Pardon the husband’s semi state of undress and the messy floor littered with the kids’ school bags.

Till I write again! Follow me on Instagram or Facebook for more frequent updates!

Latest updates: The BounceOFF run has been postponed to 12 March 2016 due to the perpetual haze conditions that is plaguing our tiny island recently. Such a bummer, but probably great news to those who have yet to sign up! Go sign up now! 🙂

Hi there! Thanks for popping by. I'm Cherie, a ftwm (full-time working mum) to 3 lovely kids (2 boys & a princess) and my motto in life is to BE HAPPY. Sure, life isn't all that smooth but it's the mentality that counts, no? This blog documents my life. Or rather, snippets of my life that has passed me by. I love capturing life memories in the blog and being able to read back and laugh at myself (or anyone). I love to eat (A LOT), travel and paint my own nails so the blog is mostly about that. Is that considered lifestyle? Of cos, the family is also very much an integral part of me so there would be loads of memories about the husband and my kids - Jerry (9yo), Jerome (7yo) and Leia (2.5yo) and everyone else that's close to me. I like documenting the kids' milestones, their growing up years, their achievements (and sometimes, mine), and my struggles and battles with motherhood. It sure ain't easy. I love seeking out good food and travelling, is trigger-happy, love new gadgets, love exploring new places and strives to live life to the fullest. I aspire to travel the world as much as I can, to soak in the different sights across the various continents and visit all the Disneylands in the world (almost there!). Have fun reading and do drop me a comment to say hi! Love, Cherie Lim Find me on Instagram.
