Brand new month, brand new hair!

Hello June. Hadn’t expect you to come so soon. Didn’t we just say hi to January? 2018 has been interesting and challenging in many ways. P1 kid, brand new baby, 3 kids in 3 different stages and way too much of solo parenting because the husband has a mistress called “studies”. I just cannot imagine the madness when i head back to work in 30 days. I’m in serious denial.

Meanwhile, there is something that I have been cutting quite a bit! My hair! In January, I snipped off a total of 6-7 inches off my tresses, simply because I didn’t want to deal with it during confinement. So my hip long tresses became mid back length and it was manageable…for a while. Post-partum hair loss then hit and I felt like I was pulling off chunks of hair each time I washed it and my hair was constantly dry and tangled. It was frustrating to maintain because I really don’t have the time for it with a newborn to care for around the clock! Can you tell how dry and frizzy it was? Booked an appt with my regular hair salon to snip it off!

My stylist saw how dry it was and recommended that I do the Tokio Inkarami hair & scalp treatment to restore moisture. Halfway through the treatment, Leia fussed and I had to feed her. #momlife

Hair felt so much lighter when I was done. Hello, bouncy healthy hair! It was super smooth to touch and I just couldn’t stop touching it. I was a little sad though, don’t think I can braid my hair anymore. Too short to do a nice long braid. I haven’t had such short hair in almost 10 years! What do you guys think? Yay or Nay? Regardless, I mad love.

Nice hair always makes me feel like a million bucks!

Oh, by the way, The Comb Salon now has a new brand outlet in Boat Quay (13 Lor Telok) and it’s much bigger and spacious. Jerry had a fun time running around pretending to be a ninja and break-dancing in the middle much to everyone’s amusement. He also helped push Leia around in her stroller in circles when she fussed and abandoned her somewhere in the store when Leia fell asleep. #truestory

They are also having a special promotion for digital perm or rebonding with cut and blow at only $198! Call 65353138 to book appointment.

Selfie with the boy when we were goofing around Boat Quay! He has grown so much while I wasn’t looking. The time I get to spend with him during the holidays is so so precious. Slow down June!

Am off to Perth with the husb and kids (all three of them!) in just a few hours. Super impromptu trip because i just bought the tickets on Monday morning. Follow us on vacation on Instagram stories (@cherieladie)!

Disclaimer: My hair services are sponsored by The Comb Salon (it’s been a while now!) and all thoughts and opinions are my own. P.s. I wish I had more time to pop into the salon on a more frequent basis though. Mom of three is tough!

Hi there! Thanks for popping by. I'm Cherie, a ftwm (full-time working mum) to 3 lovely kids (2 boys & a princess) and my motto in life is to BE HAPPY. Sure, life isn't all that smooth but it's the mentality that counts, no? This blog documents my life. Or rather, snippets of my life that has passed me by. I love capturing life memories in the blog and being able to read back and laugh at myself (or anyone). I love to eat (A LOT), travel and paint my own nails so the blog is mostly about that. Is that considered lifestyle? Of cos, the family is also very much an integral part of me so there would be loads of memories about the husband and my kids - Jerry (9yo), Jerome (7yo) and Leia (2.5yo) and everyone else that's close to me. I like documenting the kids' milestones, their growing up years, their achievements (and sometimes, mine), and my struggles and battles with motherhood. It sure ain't easy. I love seeking out good food and travelling, is trigger-happy, love new gadgets, love exploring new places and strives to live life to the fullest. I aspire to travel the world as much as I can, to soak in the different sights across the various continents and visit all the Disneylands in the world (almost there!). Have fun reading and do drop me a comment to say hi! Love, Cherie Lim Find me on Instagram.
