Junior Claus by The Little Company (Giveaway Alert!)

Anyone realized that we are down to the last 2 months of 2014, and that Christmas is just right around the corner? We brought the kids to catch Junior Claus yesterday afternoon to kick start the festive cheer. It was a cheery, happy musical peppered with loads of snow. Do you want to catch it too? I’m giving away a set of 4 tickets to 1 winner at the end of the post!

So, what is Junior Claus all about? Here’s the synopsis.

Junior Claus (Dwayne Tan) is the rebellious heir to an immense empire in the North Pole, where elves busily prepare for the biggest day of the year – Christmas. When Santa (Benjamin Chow) falls into a deep sleep because the Belief-o-Meter falls to a dangerously low level, Grumpo the greedy elf (Timothy Wan) takes control of Santa’s workshop and attempts to ruin the Yuletide season forever. Junior, alongside his friends Chipper the elf (Seong Hui Xuan) and Pengy the penguin , join forces to prevent this disastrous outcome.

The kids were really attracted to the poster and kept asking me if we are going to watch it. They kept asking who is that boy in red!

The kids just went silent when the musical started. I think they were pretty amazed. Jerome even tried to sing-along! He started to get a little fidgety after a while and was a little too loud to everyone’s amusement/annoyance. He also started climbing all over so the husband decided to remove him for the sake of our fellow audience. Guess he is still a little too young to be able to sit still. Jerry, on the other hand just sat mesmerized by it all…

He did a double take on the picture on the book he was holding onto and told me, “Mama, not the same hor? Why [Junior Claus] look different?”. Jerry managed to follow the plot and kept asking me if Santa is going to die, much to my amusement. My favourite character is Pengy the Penguin but I shall not be a spoiler. Go catch the musical to kick start the spirit of Christmas! It’s a great family musical not to be missed.

Hi there! Thanks for popping by. I'm Cherie, a ftwm (full-time working mum) to 3 lovely kids (2 boys & a princess) and my motto in life is to BE HAPPY. Sure, life isn't all that smooth but it's the mentality that counts, no? This blog documents my life. Or rather, snippets of my life that has passed me by. I love capturing life memories in the blog and being able to read back and laugh at myself (or anyone). I love to eat (A LOT), travel and paint my own nails so the blog is mostly about that. Is that considered lifestyle? Of cos, the family is also very much an integral part of me so there would be loads of memories about the husband and my kids - Jerry (9yo), Jerome (7yo) and Leia (2.5yo) and everyone else that's close to me. I like documenting the kids' milestones, their growing up years, their achievements (and sometimes, mine), and my struggles and battles with motherhood. It sure ain't easy. I love seeking out good food and travelling, is trigger-happy, love new gadgets, love exploring new places and strives to live life to the fullest. I aspire to travel the world as much as I can, to soak in the different sights across the various continents and visit all the Disneylands in the world (almost there!). Have fun reading and do drop me a comment to say hi! Love, Cherie Lim Find me on Instagram.
