So, I caught up with a bunch of mummies and their families over CNY. This group of mummies is quite dear to me. We ‘met’ over the net many years back, and bonded through blogging. This blog have brought me a lot of friendships and I really appreciate how it opened many doors for me. This bunch of mummies, we went from discussing weddings, to our first kids, to 2 kids for most of us, and now, the kids are all running around! At one point, 4 of us were having our maternity leave together (our kids are days apart) and it was a lot of fun! We grown from this…

to this!!

It was a lovely afternoon filled with fun, laughter, loads of sesame seeds (from the yusheng), great food (steamboat love!), yummy vino (slurps), and water (from the pool and water guns). I brought along my camera to snap some nice pictures of the kids and it really helped that the weather was good! (Warning: Photo heavy post ahead!)

All the kids got involved with gun play after our lunch. Errr, water gun I mean. It was pretty chaotic and wet, with tears from gun snatching, screams from getting wet (mostly the adults), and a tense situation for the adults trying not to get hit while carrying on our conversations and cleaning up at the same time.

I think crying babies are mad cute!

And then there is one who decided to shoot himeself... or drink water from the gun?

It doesn’t seem so in the pictures but it was quite a madness trying to handle all the kids at the same time. As for me, I was constantly fearing my kids falling into the pool! They were constantly perched over trying to fill their guns with water. The other adults were all dancing around dodging the random squirt of water coming towards them or unsuspiciously landing on them. Otherwise, we had a lot of fun laughing at each other being ‘hit’.

The afternoon ended sweet with the kids chomping down on macarons.

The kids crashing a mere minute right after they got into the car is a clear indication of how great the afternoon has been. Once again, THANK YOU Gary & Wenmei for hosting us!
