Jerome goes to the market!

It’s going to be a picture spam of Jerome heading to the market with me while I was solo parenting some weeks back, more for the benefit of the husband who missed all these.

I had to do the school run every morning to bring Jerry to school. The problem is, I also have to lug Jerome wherever I go, so this is the sight every other morning.

Jerry’s school is actually near my mum’s place and not mine, so I shifted into my mum’s place (everyone is away travelling) to save myself from driving the 2 kids to and fro everyday.  Saved me a lot of time actually, but of cos, I miss the comfort of lounging in my own place.

Jerome runs to the playground to have some fun while Jerry is being dropped off every morning. He sure loves the playground.. but not so much for me. The morning sun makes me perspire.

We then make a trip to the market after the playground to eat our breakfast. I miss the breakfast from the market near my mum’s place so the whole week I was there, I tried to eat as much as I could.

Left the market with a packet of biscuits for Jerome on one of the mornings. Did I mention that he is a biscuit monster? He looooves biscuits although I know he shouldn’t really eat too much.

This is how he carries bags. Any bags for that matter. Der & me always laugh our arses off when we spot him doing this because it is so cute! Maybe he learnt it from mummy. So stylo milo mylo.

Greedy boy needs to take out his biscuits immediately. In a middle of a walking path no less and I had a hard time trying to stop him and carry him away (#butletmetakeapicturefirst). He really wants to eat it on the spot, even though we just had breakfast. #greedy

He’s definitely growing up faster than I think he is. Even the moments of him drifting off for a nap is getting harder and harder to achieve. I know I said this a few times, but I want my chubby baby back! Lately, I have been hugging him tight hoping to preserve the memory of carrying him in my minds. He’s really cuddly!

It may seem pretty normal to some of you, but as a full time working mum.. these are somewhat precious memories that I hold dear because I don’t have them often – doing school runs and tending them 24/7 everyday all by myself. I had to clear out a whole week of leave for them but it is totally worth it. Never mind that we didn’t get to go on the vacation with the rest of the family, but that’s another story for another time.

That’s all!  Sorry I ended this post abruptly! If you want more, you can read about Jerome here. Loads of post of him and adventures that we have as a family.

Hi there! Thanks for popping by. I'm Cherie, a ftwm (full-time working mum) to 3 lovely kids (2 boys & a princess) and my motto in life is to BE HAPPY. Sure, life isn't all that smooth but it's the mentality that counts, no? This blog documents my life. Or rather, snippets of my life that has passed me by. I love capturing life memories in the blog and being able to read back and laugh at myself (or anyone). I love to eat (A LOT), travel and paint my own nails so the blog is mostly about that. Is that considered lifestyle? Of cos, the family is also very much an integral part of me so there would be loads of memories about the husband and my kids - Jerry (9yo), Jerome (7yo) and Leia (2.5yo) and everyone else that's close to me. I like documenting the kids' milestones, their growing up years, their achievements (and sometimes, mine), and my struggles and battles with motherhood. It sure ain't easy. I love seeking out good food and travelling, is trigger-happy, love new gadgets, love exploring new places and strives to live life to the fullest. I aspire to travel the world as much as I can, to soak in the different sights across the various continents and visit all the Disneylands in the world (almost there!). Have fun reading and do drop me a comment to say hi! Love, Cherie Lim Find me on Instagram.
