random sort of update

i’ll just type what comes to my mind!

christmas. had you ever had a pink christmas? i had one. a hectic one nonetheless. planning for the christmas party in the office, tagging the prizes, sorting them out, putting up the decorations, thinking of the games to play that’s related to the theme. sounds like my kind of thing, but seriously, it’s so much additional work… i really wished i could be left alone at my desk to clear my more important work. like those that allows me to achieve my KPIs.

a little late to talk about christmas, i know. CNY is barely 2 weeks away. where have i been?

anyhow, am stealing my own pictures off another blog again. so, here’s some pictures of my pinky christmas with all some my pinky pink colleagues!

the committee also made some wigs for those who didn’t turn up in the theme!

this wig is done by yours truly! supposed to do one each, but i ended up making more than 5 (i think) because they rest all said they didn’t know how to!

i didn’t too. i just ANYHOW! not like i’m gonna wear it anyway. but i thought i did a pretty decent job, cos the fringe looked so cute.

i also came up with the idea of log cake decoration! okie. i sorta “stole” the idea from the christmas party the year before in the ex-company where we were asked to design a cookie house. i didn’t have the money to order cookie houses, so cheap log cakes it was… with the butter cream whipped by my mum!

i must say some of them are really quite nice, just that the pictures don’t really do them any justice!

do you play word search on facebook? that’s what we played too.

but, i didn’t get to play any of the games (sucha pity) because i was the emcee. it was really hard getting attention in rowdy situations where people just want to chat amongst themselves. at the end of the day, one of my managers said i did a good job and all i was thinking was.. was he trying to encourage me? ha.

other random shots taken…

my pink committee.

the best part of the christmas party are the lucky draw prizes! everyone is guaranteed a prize even if you don’t turn up! so, there are more than 90 prizes to be won (just for the marketing/marcom team). i got prize 38 and am so SOOOOOOoo mad at myself because i survived that FAR in the lucky draw, but i got an idiotic digital photo frame from Philips and $60 robinson voucher!

Grrr.. i rather take that $200 taka voucher for the 60th prize! anyway, i was digging after the travel vouchers worth $1500! or that $2k+ notebook! or the iphone! or camera! or samsung omnia! anything is better right?! *grits teeth*

anyone keen on my DIGITAL PHOTO FRAME? it’s worth more than $200, but it’s dumped in my office drawer for now.

yup. that’s prolly the most exciting part of christmas. the rest were spent having gatherings with the rest of my friends, but no one seemed to send me any pictures so i have nothing to show at all.

and yes. if you realised, i seemed to have lost the habit of whipping out my camera. too worn out, i figure. keeping a low profile too, depending on how you look at it. 🙂

Hi there! Thanks for popping by. I'm Cherie, a ftwm (full-time working mum) to 3 lovely kids (2 boys & a princess) and my motto in life is to BE HAPPY. Sure, life isn't all that smooth but it's the mentality that counts, no? This blog documents my life. Or rather, snippets of my life that has passed me by. I love capturing life memories in the blog and being able to read back and laugh at myself (or anyone). I love to eat (A LOT), travel and paint my own nails so the blog is mostly about that. Is that considered lifestyle? Of cos, the family is also very much an integral part of me so there would be loads of memories about the husband and my kids - Jerry (9yo), Jerome (7yo) and Leia (2.5yo) and everyone else that's close to me. I like documenting the kids' milestones, their growing up years, their achievements (and sometimes, mine), and my struggles and battles with motherhood. It sure ain't easy. I love seeking out good food and travelling, is trigger-happy, love new gadgets, love exploring new places and strives to live life to the fullest. I aspire to travel the world as much as I can, to soak in the different sights across the various continents and visit all the Disneylands in the world (almost there!). Have fun reading and do drop me a comment to say hi! Love, Cherie Lim Find me on Instagram.
