  • Our very 1st Christmas Party!

I have always wanted a place on my own to host parties during festivities. This year, its like *wish granted* cos we finally got our own place and moved right in! When Christmas rolled along, i just had to have a party! Our first Christmas party at Choo Nest. The thought of having a party sure sounds like fun, but putting together a party sounds like a LOT of work. I think its a lot of work, but being time-starved… i cheated! And i’m gonna teach you how. Tips on putting a Christmas party feast together:   Buy pre-marinated food and just pop them into the oven. I bought the…

  • the christmas team lunch

each year, my lovely boss will arrange for a team lunch at a lovely place for the team. it’s always a much-looked-forward-to event for me because there is always good food, we have a nice relaxing long lunch and gossip chit chat about the happenings in the office and pretty much chill around together.   this year, lunch is at symmetry, located at kudor street. I loved how chill the restaurant exterior looked, and the team had fun posing with the decor. me, looking rotund and terrible in pictures these days. my face is sooooooo round! restaurant interior.  cosy little place with cute little touches here and there! the menu.…

  • Christmas game : angels and mortals

each year, as Christmas approaches.. a small group of my colleagues will gather to play this game. its actually a secret Santa game but we call our version angels and mortals.   rules of the game – we set aside a budget, draw lots to determine everyone’s mortal (together with 3 items on their wish list based on the budget) and then for weeks leading up to Christmas, the angel has to secretly do nice things for the mortal.   everybody keeps their mortal a secret from each other while others throw out decoys and claim credit for the stuff they didn’t do. on the day of exchange, we usually…

  • Christmas is coming!

which, would also signal the end of another year. gosh. I want to ask where all that time has gone to but I know I spent most of it slogging away on ny work desk. in the same note, with Der being away in China for a week, me being heavily pregnant with the delivery date just weeks away, and having to juggle work (everyone is clearing leave except me) and caring for jerry.. I have been extremely tired. add the stress of prepping for the festive season and getting everyone’s present ready.. imma is very very sleep deprived so this blog is near its death I think.   and…

  • Last Christmas, I gave you my heart..

What better present to gift your spouse than your heart? Or love for the matter. I kinda ran out of ideas on what to get the husband for christmas. He is a rather simple person and has everything he needs and I unfortunately am not able to fulfill his only wants which are all the high end, highly desirable watches that are at least a 5 digit figure. Or a Porsche car. My husband has got expensive taste. (yay! It means im ‘expensive’ too! Sorry, couldn’t resist slotting in the comment!) So while he was on reservist, an idea struck me and I embarked on a love project filled with…

  • The office Christmas party.

It’s usually the event of the year where everyone look forward to it, mainly because of the big and exciting prizes that we have in store. This year, it’s a little different. The rules have changes, the prizes no more and a lot of people went on leave! Still, it’s one of those events where EVERYONE would gamely dressed up to the theme. It’s my 4th Christmas party in the company, and the previous themes were pink christmas (I was in committee), blingz, back to school and this year.. It was fashion disaster. And I thought I was quite a fashion disaster wearing leopard prints, polka dots and stripes all…

  • Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas people! I spent my eve sleeping the day away! Each year, the thing that I look most forward to on this day, is the company department Christmas party where there are tonnes of gifts to be given away! Last year, I walked away with a wii set + hero band (it’s still lying unopened somewhere in the house), and I was gunning for the 5 ipads, MacBook air, 4 hp minis, mobile phones and lenovo notebooks up for grabs. Unfortunately, I only survived 7 rounds and got drawn out at prize 48. =( $200 worth of taka vouchers. So sad! The theme of the party was back to…

  • ’tis the season to be merry wrapping..

2 afternoons and 50+ pressies later.. I’m done with wrapping the Christmas pressies! At least before now.. This batch of presents are only for my colleagues.. I haven’t found the time to buy more presents as yet.. 13 days more to Christmas! Are you excited?! Life has been about clearing my work as fast as I could (speed matters so that I can leave work earlier), sleeping early (the tiredness is still getting to me), battling queasy stomachs (am still puking like no one’s business so much so that I don’t think my stomach has taken in anything but water), and suffering from very very bad migraines. Just last night,…
