• My parenting style – empower the kids!

I’m back on the blog again! 2 weeks into 2018 and I hope I am making good progress in “reviving” my blog. It’s rather random, adhoc posts for now but I figure I just gotta start somewhere after being rusty for so long! My thoughts today is about empowering my kids – teaching them to fish rather than to hand them the fishes when they are hungry. I have come to realise, that in this fast paced and stressful environment that we parents are in today, we often make the mistake of “doing” stuff for our kids without even thinking about the consequences, or even aware if there is any…

  • virus in the household!

the past couple of days have been pretty tough. i have a sick kid on my hands and he has been feeling so uncomfortable that sleep is a pain. he caught a virus from his cousins and has been whining/crying in his sleep, struggling with block nose. despite seeing the doc on sat, his nose is still dripping with mucus. every time i think he seems to be on the mend, the dripping starts all over again. there is also throat inflammation and cough and i am totally freaked out because i also have a month old baby in the house. its a really bad time since the husb is…

  • My mum’s invention.

Drool is a big part of my life at this point in time. Jerry has been drooling so much lately, I sometimes wonder if he gets dehydrated from all the liquid loss. He wets his bib ever so frequently and my mum couldn’t launder them fast enough, especially with the erratic weather these days, so she ‘recycles’ his rompers from the night before (the ones Jerry wears to bed with), turn it upside down and let him wear it as a bib to collect his drool. Know what? I personally think its a brilliant idea, environmentally and pocket friendly too! If you try out this idea as well, let me…
