Things Jerome says #2 – I’ll tell you a secret!
Wow. In Jan last year, I documented the first post on “Things Jerome Says” and then, I totally went missing on this space. Bad mummy.
So, this kid does say a lot of funny stuff on a daily basis actually.. but obviously mummy me have been really tardy in blogging in down for memories so i am just gonna try harder in 2018 to jot down these precious memories.
My kids have this habit of heading to my mini walk-in wardrobe where my weighing scale is and weigh them occasionally.
So, today… der told Jerry to go weigh himself because he thinks he has put on some weight. He weighs 18.5kg.
Jerome then also jumped onto the bandwagon and weighed himself too – 20.5kg. Yes, he is heavier than Jerry by quite a bit.
And then, he laughs out loud (because he is heavier, and he finds it funny).
Jerome: Mummy, I am heavier hor?
Mummy: Yup. You probably eat a lot more stuff than Jerry do, so you are heavier.
Jerome: Mummy, I’ll tell you a secret! Everyday at ah ma’s house… after i finish dinner.. I will eat a piece of chocolate. Nobody knows except ah ma. But ah ma never scold me.
Mummy: (wondering to laugh or cry) wow. You eat chocolates every day?
Jerome: Yup. It’s a secret. The chocolate is very nice.
Mummy: Ok. But you know chocolates is very sweet and not very good for you if you eat too much of it right
Jerome: Ya. I know. Shh.. its a secret. only ah ma and me know.
Don’t know to laugh or cry, or to be mad with my mum for giving him chocolates EVERY DAY!
Truth is, I do know I have a greedy kid on my hand. He forages the fridge and the kitchen pantry for snacks all the time whenever, and here’s one of him eating 2pcs of Famous Amos cookies just before bedtime (and proceeding to tell me that he wants to eat it again tomorrow.. and 3PCS OK?!) Sorry for the blur picture, didn’t realised it is blur. My eyesight these days is getting worse!
Uh wells, now the whole world knows! I find him so cute and endearing sometimes.. But other times.. he is just super active and noisy and uncontrollable.. it drives me nuts. He is growing up so soon and losing all the babyness already. Wish the kids don’t have to grow up so fast! How did my baby turn 5 years old so fast?!

I aspire to travel the world as much as I can, to soak in the different sights across the various continents and visit all the Disneylands in the world (almost there!).
