Shape Run 2017 – Our 3rd 1.8KM Family Run with Skechers!
[Sponsored] The Shape Run has somewhat become special and iconic for us as a family. We have been participating every year since my Jerome is still a baby in a stroller. He is now a 4.5yo and finishes the run by himself with gusto. How far we have come! This year is our 3rd 1.8km Family Run. Read about our previous 1.8km family runs in 2016 & 2015. The boys were super excited once they knew about it. They even know the drill when we picked up our Skechers shoes from the store and has been really excited about getting medals for their race. I know, strange motivation they have there (must…

Jerry & the Tooth Fairy
9 May 2017, Tuesday, 10.30pm. Jerry lost his first tooth ever. It has been shaky for weeks and his new teeth has been peeking beside the baby tooth for a while. We were still wondering if he was going to have his birthday pictures toothless some weeks back. I was secretly glad that the tooth didn’t come off before his birthday although the tooth obviously shifted its position and looked totally out of place. The kid has been complaining about chewing certain stuff that is too tough and have rejected eating some foods because it hurts. Last night, the kid showed me his super wobbly tooth.. and I could tell…

Checking out Arts in Your Neighbourhood!
[Sponsored Post] So, we checked out one of the first Arts in Your Neighbourhood (AYN) programmes over the past weekend, and the boys had fun! Have you heard about Arts in Your Neighbourhood (AYN) programme? I have! I have always wanted to check it out in the past (yeah, there’s is an arty farty side to me too) but I never found time. I finally did! If you haven’t, Arts in Your Neighbourhood programme is an enriching arts experience at one’s doorstep. It’s basically a series of interactive arts programmes by established artists and art groups, held at various locations across the island, mostly in the heartlands. Held during the November…

The Live Turtle and Tortoise Museum we go!
The National Day long weekend was such a treat, and I can’t believe we are already at month end! We visited The Live Turtle and Tortoise Museum located at The Chinese Garden over the long weekend. Quite an eye-opener I must say! If you are looking for some activity to do this weekend, maybe this could be it! I had initially wanted to bring the boys to Kusu Island, but dropped the idea when I realised there isn’t a direct ferry to the island. So, we went to The Chinese Garden instead because I have read about the tortoise museum and have always wanted to visit. I think I haven’t…

The Three Billy Goats Gruff by The Little Company (TLC).
We recently caught The Three Billy Goats Gruff by TLC and the family loves it! Jerry has been asking me to bring him back to the theatres ever since we watched Goldilocks and the Three Bears. He loved the latter so much, he asked to go back the very next day after we watched it. The moment we stepped into Singapore Repertory Theatre, Jerry turned to ask if we are back to watch Goldilocks again. My bad. I have been so, so sick lately, I didn’t have the time nor energy to prep the kids on the musical that we are catching. I have been either in comatose state or…

Easter Eggstravaganza at Universal Studios Singapore
[Sponsored Post] We brought the kids & my nephew to hunt for some easter eggs over the school holidays weekend. Easter is one of those holidays that I really look forward to every year because I really, really like chocolate eggs and they are only available during this time of the year! Now that Universal Studios is having Easter Eggstravaganza (nice pun), it is a perfect time to visit Resort World Sentosa and be eggcited over eggs! Sorry, couldn’t resist! So what’s the eggciting easter about, you’ll ask? Loads of eggs to hunt down, loads of rabbit ears to pull at (I’m joking at the pulling part) and special shows to catch.…

KidsSTOP™ – Fun morning for the kids!
The boys checked off KidsSTOP™ at the Science Centre last weekend and clocked in a whole morning of fun! I have had fond memories of the Science Centre as a kid, and now it’s my kids’ turn to hang there. If you always have no idea where to bring your young kids on weekends, I have just the place for you. KidsSTOP. I have heard of KidsSTOP from my friends who are parents, but never ventured into it until now. Partly because Jerome was still pretty much an uncontrollable baby till a couple of months back and I prefer to do activities that involves both kids so that we can…

Transformers 30th Anniversary Exhibition, Singapore
Jerry & Jerome are both huge fans of Transformers. Not a day goes by in the household without them holding or playing Transformers. They play with it every single day. Heck. Make that several many times a day and they travel with it even, grabbing one or two of them each time we step out of the house. So, when I heard about the Transformers 30th Anniversary Exhibition at Science Centre Singapore, it’s a no brainer that I have got to check it out. In case you aren’t aware… The Transformers 30th Anniversary Exhibition celebrates 30 years of evolution of the world famous Transformers series and presents a snapshot of its…
