It’s been a long while since I have written a random, raw, unplanned post. Thought about it tonight and decided that maybe I should since the kids decided to spare me the agony and went to bed early. Here’s wishing you a Happy Chinese New Year from my family to yours! I know this should have been done like 8 days ago, but I have been diligent.. Something that I want to remember about my Grandpa.
Today, in the midst of being a buzzing bee at work. I saw an email popped in titled “Chinese New Year” by my uncle. The family will be popping in from different parts of the world to celebrate this occasion as usual, so I wondered what the email is about. Chilling out with great grandpa.
My grandpa’s health has been really bad lately. At a ripe old age of 96, I guess the body is in a retiring sort of mode. The last hospital episode made my grandpa draw up and finalize his will, and he was all ready to ‘go’. I do wish he won’t give up the fight so readily, but who am I to judge? I’m barely 1/3 of his age.. the weekend (part 3)
sunday started for me way before the sun was up. at 5am, i was staring into the ceiling of my room and hearing the household stirring and my mum knocking on my door at 5.30am. we planned a visit to my grandpa’s house (yes, again!) since last week when mum and brother was there, grandpa had an accident with the new car. i guess the change from some 70+ years of driving a manual car makes it hard to change his driving habits to adapt to an auto car. while a brand new car was crashed, we were more concerned with grandpa so we decided to visit again to provide…

these days, i hardly had the time to seriously sit down and breathe properly. it’s a mad rush everywhere, trying to get work done, coordinating my life, trying to manage everything and clean up my room, do last minute shopping for CNY clothes (ok, dont remind me about the big luggage brimming with shopping items that just arrived yesterday from seattle), and trying to meet all my friends before the new year. last night, just barely an hr after i got home.. i zipped out of the house, journeying to my grandpa’s place in the middle of the night. in that single hour i was home, i had to unpack…
