a week of random tidbits.
the husb is away the whole week for a business trip, so my hands are very much tied up with the baby. its also a bad week at work with me logging much longer hours with all the happenings coming up, and the bump is starting to give me much discomfort and making me very very tired. slap on the chores of bottle washing and all, I’m pretty much dead to the world before midnight even strike. I didn’t manage to spend a lot of time with the bub though since he’s mostly sleeping by the time I reach home or that its his bedtime and I quickly change him…

the decoder.
someone has discovered the fun of the decoding my iPhone. I don’t usually give jerry my phone to play. he calls its ‘apple’! not because its an apple phone, but I sometimes play the phonics song on my phone for him so he always remember the song as apple. I left my phone on the bed the other day and went about doing my stuff. when I look up, the kid was happily pressing the phone and he has managed to disable my phone for 1 min. didn’t manage to snatch back the phone so I took a picture as evidence instead. to show the hubby…

about reaching for my toes..
//edit:I just realised that 2 of the links werent working due to typo. It's working now..// a few of you have asked me in my earlier entry when I mentioned I wasn't going to do pedicure myself for a while.. some others picked up the cues from twitter about my appetite or the lack of. or even the need to eat breakfast every morning. this has definitely taken longer than I thought it would be. it hasn't been easily. I had had a roller coaster ride in fact. right from the start when I wasn't even that sure, to the double confirmation, the first scare, the check up, and a…

outing at gardens by the bay.
we popped by gardens by the bay 2 Saturdays ago. I had actually wanted to post this a week before but the lj app ate up my post when it crashed on me while I was reading my friend’s entry. so this is my second attempt at posting this and hopefully, I could still remember the details that I wanted to blog about. I have been wanting to check the place out. it was a perfect day to visit, having rained in the late morning before and the skies were a little on the gloomy side with the sun peeking out randomly from the clouds. the first thing we…

my nails this weekend.
I havent done a nail post for a long time. that’s the amount of time that I havent found the time to do it. so this morning, I decided to spend some time painting because my polishes have been do neglected. a simple natural looking one to save myself some time. orly Orion natural looking white base layered with opi pirouette my whistle on the tips. this glitter is on the top of my favourites list lately. my toes are done with orly naughty or nice, a deep brownish red with the tips also layered with opi pirouette my whistle. pardon the cuticle oil glistening in the picture. …

his first class.
I enrolled jerry for a art play class some months back at kid’s gallery and he attended his first class ever on Saturday! he is the youngest kid in the class. classes are for 16 months and above and he barely reached the age requirement. he is still at 15 months, 2 weeks. I know a lot of parents send their kids to classes like play gyms, gymboree and kindermusik at a much younger age but I didnt think it was necessary for jerry since his motor skills seemed quite developed at a really young age, but I wanted to start exposing him to a classroom setting with…

my cool kid at 1.40am.
I was sleeping when baby started screaming in his sleep. the husband left what he was doing (playing Diablo) and went to the kitchen to make some milk. guess what my son did next.. he moved in quickly and promptly took over the mouse. I told the husband that all that playing is bad influence.. now, I got some photographic evidence to prove my point! the kids really learn! thank godness he only shook the mouse in my face and didn’t know the exact keys to play. excuse me now. I gotta go lull him back into bed. *yawns* Posted via LiveJournal app for Android.

going for chorionic villus sampling (CVS)
was a nerve-wrecking experience. the thought of having a big needle poke through me, into the womb and extracting cells from the placenta was scary. It wasn’t the pain, it was the procedure. the other thought about the risk of miscarriage was the other scary factor. ok. and the fact that my odd were 1/17 (from the oscars test) made me really really freaked out. after having decided to go for it on monday and tried calling my gynae a few times to inform him but i only managed to talk to the busy man in the evening (7pm+). what happened next was in a whizz. tuesday morning. i was…

feeling and being appreciative is an option.
this post is inspired by a close girlfriend of mine. she seemed to be rather unhappy about her marriage and sore with the husband and that ever since kids came along, the husband doesnt pay her as much attention as the kids and she feels neglected. so much so that she’s considering marriage counseling. i mean. that came as a shock to me. i know she does complains occasionally (com’on, who doesnt?!) but to consider going for marriage counseling speaks depths about her unhappiness. and i only found out because she read my blog posts and texted the husband to say that he’s damn sweet to me (with the recent…
