ok. the world is at peace now.
and hopefully, i don’t jinx it by blogging this down. thank you all for the advice and help that came pouring in by the torrents after my last entry, be it on lj or on facebook. wah! suddenly feel very loved and cared for. thank you all for making my day a better one and taking my mind off things (to reply your comments!). for the record, i have also taken to drawing a lot of lines and columns in my daily recording book for jerry on his feeds, pees, poos, and my milk production to ease my stress levels. they say, doing simple, easy and no brainer stuff helps…

being a mother is just a thankless job.
15 days, i’m all ready to throw my jerry outta the window. from last night, he has been fussing non stop.. crying for extended periods of time.. my mum took over to soothe him after the husband lost his cool and started shouting at the baby and slamming the room door. the baby cried all night, the hubby slept all night. jerry finally stopped fussing at 8am this morning and went to take a precious 3 hr nap. i barely slept, my mum barely slept and today, we both are zombiefied creatures, but guess what? after he woke at 12+ for a feed, he has been CRANKY all over again…

Making a little noise here..
My mind’s a little blank, and the last 2 days felt like a vacuum. Did it just fly past me? Am dead tired but I just can’t get to sleep. My mum’s taking over the night duty today because the baby has been cranky for the last 3.5hrs, crying non stop with a dry diaper, only stopping for his feed, and starting the ruckus all over again shortly after. I reckon he wants to cuddle, but no.. Am not indulging him, but I guess the in-laws who swung by earlier got him too comfy in the nook of their arms for too long. Sigh. I wish I had the courage…

OOps. i think the halo and his wings are missing, but doesnt he look like an angel here? makes me go… awwwwwwwwwwww.. when i look at the picture *heart melts* can’t quite believe that im gushing over my own son. ok. der and me ordered a shoot for our son, way before he was born because we wanted to document him when he was just a newborn.. and we are very happy with the pictures. the funniest bit was when the shoot was done and it was time to select the pictures. der went, it’s ok. give me the entire CD of it (without even viewing a single shot). the…

My vanilla baby.
huh?! Do I smell like vanilla?! Der has been caught sniffing the baby many times and he keeps telling me, hey, Jerry smells like vanilla!! the little bub does have a sweet smell emitting from him, and I have no idea why! Do all babies smell like that? And I think I am going to have a talkative baby in the future, or maybe one that sleep talks, just like his dad. Jerry has been giving out cooing sounds and uh uh and ah sounds when he sleeps, just like how it would sound like when one is in a conversation, and I thought he woke for a feed only…

Love my new ASOS dresses! It came the mail some time back but my mum kept thinking it was meant for my brother and kept it aside. I wrote an email to complain about my lost parcel and today, my brother suddenly picked up the package and went – what is this?! How come you got a parcel lying here? And happiness! I thought I lost the ash clutch bag that I was so looking forward to receiving. Belt not included. Bright orange sun dress with my ash clutch! Hmmm.. Am so ready to head out!! Aawwwwww moment.
Was expressing my milk when baby woke and I couldn’t move an inch so I kicked the hubby awake to help. In his sleepy stupor, he grappled for his glasses, went to the cot side, cuddled up the baby and held Jerry close to his chest for a minute and snuggled his face beside the baby’s, the whole scene spewing with love. It had me going awwwwwwww right there. Okie. I think more of such moments do motivate me to get going. Posted via LiveJournal app for iPhone.

Random musings of a new mother..
It’s been 10 days with my upgraded status of a mum. The past 10 days have been pretty much a whirlwind, and well, I survived it thus far, another 20 days to go to a month (and end of confinement! Yay!). Don’t be mistaken, I actually quite enjoy it (confinement food has always been my favourite stuff to eat), only grouse is not being able to wash my hands under the tap and drink my favourite plain water. Time zooms past when you have a baby, and on hindsight, aiyah! The most enjoyable days are those in the hospital!! I should have slept my fill then, but it’s near impossible…
