at 25 months (2 year 1 month old), it happened.
jerry fighting in school/childcare. I expected this would happen someday because boys would be boys right? but at this young tender age? *in disbelief* I dont quite believe that jerry would bite anyone unprovoked. and someone 3 years his senior? he must be freaking upset or angry. he has a huge scratch across his nose and it looks pretty deep. I hope there wont be scars. I am sooooo gonna go to the school tomorrow morning to find out what happened. ******* p.s. yes. fitting in, at childcare for Jerry.
its been a month since jerry started childcare. I went to peep at him on Friday and was happy to see that he is finally blending/fitting in at childcare. from the kid that is always away from the pack and in his own world, he is now able to sit with his classmates and join in the class activities. I am soooo proud of him! it might have been a mighty small achievement but it means so much to me. to us, as the parents. and to him, as a child adapting into a new environment. as I was leaving the premises, I bumped into his class teacher…

Jerry’s school outing at the Animal Resort.
On the second week of Jerry starting school, the school had an excursion! Since Jerry is amongst one of the youngest in the school and is the *new* kid, the school didn’t recommend letting him go on the excursion unless i tag along. I knew the excursion would do Jerry good since i always believe in exposing him to nature (as compared to technology) so i signed him (and myself) up! it is a great chance for him to interact with animals in real life and it was also a good opportunity for jerry to get to know his classmates/teachers better. i sure did have an adventure chasing jerry down…

Jerry feeds himself breakfast in school!
finally, Jerry survives a week in childcare! this morning, the husband dropped him at the door and he wailed for about 30 secs before recovering himself, and all is good thereafter. we cannot be more proud. When i picked him up in the evening, the teacher updated me that there was no tears when he woke up from his nap, but he, as usual napped for a much shorter period than his peers. all is good. I am going to extend his timing and pick him up at 6pm from next week onwards. ending this post with a video i took on wednesday where jerry feeds himself breakfast! Have a…

day 2, 3 and 4 of childcare.
jerry just finished day 4 of childcare and over the few days, there were a little progress along the way, everyday. both daddy & me were proud of his little achievements because im sure, its a big thing someone his age! on day 1, we hung around for about 2hrs and snuck away while he was playing with toys at childcare. it was only for 2 hours and just enough time for us to have eat breakfast and pop over to our new abode to check on the renovation progress. we brought him home after he had his bath and before the nap time. no tears. on day…

Jerry’s first day of school/childcare!
Today is such a momentous day. It marks jerry’s first day of school/childcare. It is also an extremely emotional day for me, which I hadn’t expected I would feel this way. Come to think of it, I spent quite a bit of effort in prepping for his big day, from putting him on wait list, to bugging the schools in giving me a slot, to getting all the enrollment papers done, buying his uniform, his school bag, buying new toiletries/towels etc to be used in the school, ironing on his name labels on everything to packing his bag last night. It was a tedious process, but nothing quite prepared me…

the memories of my maiden school..
came across this via peanut_toes… totally revived my fading memories that I had of my school. the demolished school that’s no longer in existence today. i remembered that study area, the st john room, the octagon garden in the middle of the classrooms, the technical block and the science labs! the science labs where i usually hide under the table to snack away. the art room.. the classrooms.. gawd. am so glad someone actually made of video of this. judging from the dates, they are one year my junior!
i missed the schooling days. 13 years after graduation, i can still sing the school song without missing any lyrics.… -
for laughs
i spent the day clearing more stuff in my room. yes, indeed my room has lotsa junk. in the midst of it all, i uncovered this little file of mine that contains my sec 2 english assignments and exam papers. i couldnt resist taking a look and reading the stuff i wrote.. and OMFG!!! my english is HORRENDOUS!!
