been wanting to blog about the trip.. but procrastination is at work, plus.. i was busy catching up with a korean drama that i am hooked on recently – taming of the heir. so, just some random bits of nonsenses from me. 1. i’m still suffering from itch from the mosquitoes bites that i suffered in krabi. darn. they are so toxic and i am so refraining myself from scratching the 2 kisses they planted on my face. everywhere else have been scratched raw. 2. my toes are screaming murder when i started wearing heels to work on monday. i guess they are so accustomed to the one week of…

Life in krabi
Life in krabi has been great but tiring. The days are always packed And the islands are so beautiful. The shoot had been tiring. 2 full days of early mornings for make up and travelling and changing on the move. Had my virgin try on horse riding, went to the national park for waterfall, rubber plantations to feed mosquitoes, some caves and deserted hut where i had ants crawling all over. Also spent some time like idiots running, jumping around and getting wet and dirty while soaking in the sunset. On the second day, we went island hopping and I caught a fish for my pictures. havent slept a wink in the last 24 hours.
when was the last time you did that? I cannot remember when i last did it. It’s been yonks because work has been so hectic that i knock out the moment my head hits the pillow. last night, it was different. i had to down red bull to keep myself awake. to clear all the outstanding work so that I can go krabi peacefully. the last time i drank red bull was in secondary school to keep myself awake for exams.. =S i’m dead tired and i’m hoping i don’t look like shit without the beauty sleep that i am supposed to be accumulating. come to think of it… am…

the traveholic is going on yet another trip! this time, to krabi! oooohhh.. i want to stand in the waters and have the fishes swim up to me. ahh.. i would think it’s a week of bliss. the countdown begins – 68 days. hmmm… till then, there are loads to be accomplished.

it must have been lost
20 days after my vacation, i have ONE conclusion. the postcards that i posted from cape point = lost. been waiting for them to show up for the longest time, and they didn’t. *sigh* it must have been the stamps. or maybe its that red box that didnt say “postbox”. Grr.. am upset. very upset.

my impression of south africa
you know, the sights and colors are just amazing about south africa. the colors of the sky, the plains, the mountains.. the skies are ‘bluer’, the trees, plains and shrubs appears in an amazing spectrum of colors, the stars at night (sorry, i have no pictures for this) are so beautiful. and yes, when the say the stars in africa shine brighter, it really does feel so! this entry is not going to document my journey, but to share some of the amazing landscape colors of the country. i do have some issues (hard disk and memory limitations) right this moment, so I have to find a way to convert…

[26 Sep 2009] Day 1 in South Africa.
This had to be one of the most tiring day of my life. Having worked a full day at work, heading to the airport at 11pm and jetting off at 2am in the morning, 10 hours of flight time, and I started my day at 7am on a Saturday morning in South Africa. My day didn’t end till 1am (SA time) or 7am (Singapore time – Sunday). My first impression? This place looks pretty much like the U.S, say 10 years ago? The journey to Africa
11 days, 6 flights, 5 different airports and 8 passport stamps later, here I am back in Singapore. and gone through a long day at that. touched down this morning at about 5.30am, did some duty free shopping and headed home at 6+. Unpacked, bathed and headed for work. so imagine surviving the past 36hrs with just less than 2 hours sleep on board the plane. Here’s the rough gist of where I went: Singapore > Johannesburg > land transfer to Nelsprit/Kruger National Park > Johannesburg > Zimbabwe > land transfer to Zambia > Johannesburg > Cape Town > Singapore quite a bit of travelling for a 11 days trip…

the sun just set at where i am, but it’s way past midnight now in singapore. had a tiring and adventurous day, but would love more of such stuff if i had the moolah and the luxury of time. holidaying sure makes time pass really fast. it’s like… what?! i have been away for 8 days already? where did all that time slip to? i know i should be soaking up more in the sunset, the waterfalls, enjoying the hotel room, snuggling myself up in the comfortable beds or out ‘hunting’ the animals and take more pictures. instead, here i sit in front of the terminal and read up on…
