mummy updates.

YAY
is when the husband called this morning and said the doc gave the clearance for jerry to discharge! all that patting and loosening of the phlegm helped! its the best thing to beat the Monday blues. my Saturday morning..
is spent scrambling out in bed at 7am and off we went to the paedratician. jerry has been battling with the flu virus since mid week and it developed into a full blown cough and now, fever. its been a morning it has been. we have just been told that jerry is suffering from an asthma attack and has to be admitted for observation and be constantly nebulized every 2hrs. I think its every parent’s fear of hearing that statement from the doctor. the hospitalization part that is. doc says he needs to be warded for 3 days. the timing can’t be worse. man, i pulled the trigger.
or what seems like it. I have been dealing with pain in my finger for about a week plus. when it first started, I saw the company GP who prescribed painkillers and said it should heal. fast forward to today, this is how my fingers looked like.. I couldnt extend my ring finger straight. it was getting really, really stiff, and that was what triggered the alarm bells in me. that, and a swollen lump at my palm and this 'clicking' sensation when I bend and straighten my finger (with the help of the other hand). oh, and of cos swollen finger as well. about my hearing loss.
or discovery of it. or rather, the confirmation of it. i always felt like i had an ear infection all my life. sometimes, it bothered me, sometimes, not. and i had this vague memory of being put through a hearing test when i was a kid, when i was in this sound proof room and asked to put on ear phones. But i can’t recall why, and my mum says she has absolutely no recollection of it at all. and obviously, i didn’t know what was wrong. or that, i wasn’t really ‘normal’. till one fine day, when der was showing off his newly bought automatic watch and asked me…

The last visit in a long while.
It’s my last visit to the gynae today.. And it marks the end of a journey for me. I always complain and hated the long queues at the gynae’s office. Today, I was early because I got the husband to drop me off instead (cos he forgot about my appt and made an important appt at work and couldnt accompany me.. *roll eyes*). And wow. There isn’t a single soul in the clinic except the clinic assistants! It’s a first for me, seeing the clinic empty. Heh. It didn’t last long, 5 mins later.. Weekend fun.
Last weekend saw us spending quite a bit of time at the hospital.. Oh. On the health front, I finally got der to check out his neck with an orthopedic. Helps that I was familiar with it since I tore my ligament some 6 years back and I set an appointment for him. He saw the doc once 2 weeks ago, got a MRI scan done and last weekend, we reviewed the scan with the doc. Planned it in conjunction with all our antenatal class so it was perfect. The scan results did show that he had a slightly worn out disc in his neck that’s probably causing the pain…

body’s in protest
for the past 2 days, i have been riddled with a terrible headache. It started yesterday morning. i struggled through it the whole of yesterday, back home and this morning when i stepped out for work.. the pain is still there! urgh. also felt dizzy this morning and a little nauseous from the dizziness. saw a doc and he diagnosed me with a tension headache. told me to head home to rest. told him i can’t. he said, if you can, you should come back in the afternoon.. i’ll give you 1/2 day mc to go home and rest. *sigh* sometimes i struggle within. you know its only right to…

my first christmas present…
.. is 6 months of paid lj account from silli_boi!
