When Adora first brought up the topic, i was really excited to join and share about my old school memories… and then the time came and went by.. and today is the LAST DAY that she is keeping her linky open so i just gotta churn this post out. and of cos, i’m totally unprepared.. haven’t had the chance to head back to my mum’s to dig out all the photographs when i was a kid.. so, here goes a rumble jumble of memories and whatever photographs i can find online. Hmmm.. where shall i start? How about the schools? Primary School memories.. I don’t remember much of what happened…

  • Our very 1st Christmas Party!

I have always wanted a place on my own to host parties during festivities. This year, its like *wish granted* cos we finally got our own place and moved right in! When Christmas rolled along, i just had to have a party! Our first Christmas party at Choo Nest. The thought of having a party sure sounds like fun, but putting together a party sounds like a LOT of work. I think its a lot of work, but being time-starved… i cheated! And i’m gonna teach you how. Tips on putting a Christmas party feast together:   Buy pre-marinated food and just pop them into the oven. I bought the…

  • Munic and Gerine. The wedding.

Right after the gathering on Saturday’s afternoon, we rushed home, got changed (but I fell asleep cos I was so tired and had a bad headache), and rushed off to the wedding. With the pouring rain, it just means bad traffic and extreme inconvenience because we couldn’t load the baby as fast as we would like and had to drive the car to a sheltered area and that caused some delay.. We were almost too late! We arrived minutes before the bride and groom entered the room and had a chance for a quick chat! The march-in.. The bride! I think she must have been extremely nervous.. I wanted to…

  • The random meet-up.

The past weekend has been really packed! Its filled with loads and loads of activities and I spent Saturday afternoon meeting up with the athletics team of my secondary school days. Yes. I belong to the athletics team though I know I dont look like it (or run like it now for that matter) but I am and I also happen to be the captain. Those were my glory days. You can go ahead and laugh your socks off. Here’s my little family with my ex-athletics teacher, who I always knew as miss lum (back in school) and now, mrs lim. Here’s jerry with some cookie bits on his face.…

  • the memories of my maiden school..

came across this via peanut_toes… totally revived my fading memories that I had of my school. the demolished school that’s no longer in existence today. i remembered that study area, the st john room, the octagon garden in the middle of the classrooms, the technical block and the science labs! the science labs where i usually hide under the table to snack away. the art room.. the classrooms.. gawd. am so glad someone actually made of video of this. judging from the dates, they are one year my junior! 🙂 i missed the schooling days. 13 years after graduation, i can still sing the school song without missing any lyrics.…

  • Happy birthday Shuyu!

the girls (+ 2 guys) met up to celebrate shuyu’s birthday last night! it’s been a while since everyone got together, and i guessed everyone enjoyed themselves even though we were pretty much nattering about nonsensical stuff and corny jokes the whole night. and of cos, discussed a wee bit on belle’s wedding that’s coming up in less than 2 months! well, i was trying to crack my brains on how to ‘te-kan’ the groom.. the wedding’s on national day, so if you have any bright ideas to add to my brewing cauldron of activities, just drop me a note!

  • visiting at mrs lim house.

or lum ping ping. like how i liked to call her in the past. we took a lot of pictures!! but no one sent me anything yet! 🙁 so i only got this to share… helai, sijie, sijie’s wife, me, fairuz fairuz helping out in the kitchen! i feel so old whenever i’m out with this bunch of juniors from the athletics team. because they make me feel so old. every year, we talked about the pioneers (whom i was a part of!). people like weijie, desmond, tong leng, clive, danny etc. i last saw danny at gotham penthouse at a toshiba event. weijie was when i was hanging out…

  • bored

it’s quite bad being confined to the house and not being able to go out. it’s worse when ur movements are limited and you try to stay at one place most of the time. i am so bored that i have gotten round to looking through my sec school year book and scanning the pictures in there. some of them are ugly, but since i only have limited pictures in the year book, i scanned them all and am going to show them here, just for memory’s sake. try spotting me in here!!! here’s my class in sec 3. and yes, i am super scrawny back then! ok, i see…
