It’s going to be a picture spam of Jerome heading to the market with me while I was solo parenting some weeks back, more for the benefit of the husband who missed all these. Happy 2015!
Happy New Year! It’s the first day of 2015 and I can’t believe 2014 is gone, just. like. that. 2014 hasn’t really been an amazing year, but it is good enough. It is a year of survival. Whatever downs I had, I believe it was to make me stronger. I am thankful for all that has happened because I gained experience, I gained friendships, I grew stronger, and I challenged myself more in 2014 and learnt a lot more new things. Hello! It’s FOUR days to Christmas! Are you excited? Have you done all the Christmas shopping and wrapped all the presents? Honestly, I haven’t done anything yet. The past 3 weeks of solo parenting rendered me nothing but the lifestyle of a maid + mother. It’s physically draining to care for 2 kids alone. My little boy, Jerome.
Today is a day that I rejoice! Finally, the 3 weeks of solo parenting is OVER! The government returned my husband to me last night and even though I was stuck in a class till almost midnight, there is so much to be happy about! One of them is, of cos, moving back into my own home later today. Can’t wait. I miss my bed! While the solo parenting has been somewhat tough and extremely tiring, I got to bond a lot with my little kid, Jerome. Mummy, cannot see!
A funny incident happened last night, and I wanted to add this to my virtual bank of memories about my kid, Jerry. I was prompting him to go to the toilet last night to pee.. and when he finally did, he went into the toilet and came out almost immediately, pants intact, shouting the following.. “Mummy, cannot see!” Errr, okayyy.. and I turned away. The next thing I know, he pulled down his pants outside the toilet and went back in to pee. That’s when it struck me. He meant “cannot see” as in the toilet is too dark and he cannot see anything inside. I kept thinking that he…
