The random meet-up.
The past weekend has been really packed! Its filled with loads and loads of activities and I spent Saturday afternoon meeting up with the athletics team of my secondary school days. Yes. I belong to the athletics team though I know I dont look like it (or run like it now for that matter) but I am and I also happen to be the captain. Those were my glory days. Acting tourist again.
I seemed to be heading to MBS quite often in the last month. With the fetish over the todai buffet (I had it 3 times within 2 weeks), my relatives visiting from the states and Kenties coming back with kaka and staying there (wow!).. I just keep going back! The highlight had to be the meet up with Kenties and kaka.. Because I had a chance to view their hotel room, headed up to the rooftop and checked out the swimming pool.. The uni mates.
My uni mates. It’s been a long time since I caught up with them. We all have moved on so much.. Yihui was my sec sch junior in sjab.. And our friendship has been through quite a fair bit, from marching to first aid training, to be punished by me and then to classmates and project mates and finally graduating some 6-7 years ago.. A full portion of italian salad at speggedies (is the spelling correct?) for dinner while with the girls last night. A very enjoyable dinner with loads of crap… Mostly from me. Because of the pretty girls i’m with, the young manager was having an eyeful.. Kept looking at shuhui and i kept teasing her about it. Stella came up with acroymns like SBC (stomach bigger than chest) while describing how she has grown fatter, which made us laugh and it was soon expanded to BBS, SBB etc. Ok. Private joke. Lovely scene
A nice lunch with a old time friend, Joel. Sitting at sushi tei, facing the sea and Sentosa. Catch ups on his recent wedding (i couldn’t attend due to a company function), his wife, his job and just life in general. Lovely. He now owns his own interior design company, is a real estate agent for 8 years and i can’t believe 10 years ago. . We were fooling around ice skating rinks, watching him play ice hockey and having fun all day. And he had to mention to me every time he sees me on how i broke his heart that many years ago. Ha! the steamboat dinner with the LJ gang
