Mummies unite over CNY.
So, I caught up with a bunch of mummies and their families over CNY. This group of mummies is quite dear to me. We ‘met’ over the net many years back, and bonded through blogging. This blog have brought me a lot of friendships and I really appreciate how it opened many doors for me. This bunch of mummies, we went from discussing weddings, to our first kids, to 2 kids for most of us, and now, the kids are all running around! Happy Chinese New Year!
Here’s wishing you a Happy Chinese New Year from my family to yours! I know this should have been done like 8 days ago, but I have been diligent.. Diligent in spending time with the family, connecting with the people that matter. Spending time with myself, doing the things I enjoy most. Chinese Calligraphy and Finger Painting
The boys recently tried their hands on Chinese calligraphy and finger painting when we were invited to preview FOX’s new CNY collection in their store. Oh boy, they both had a lot of fun! By the way, if you have yet to do much clothes shopping for your kids this CNY, do keep your eyes peeled to the end of the post. You might just win an outfit for your kid! Reunion dinner with the family.
I am supposed to be in Singapore with the hubby, but I should be back soon to spend it with him. Wanted to pop in to visit my grandpa and spend the usual CNY like the past years, reckon I wont have much of the opportunity in the future and am thankful that my hubby and in-laws are ok with it! Nothing fantastic about the reunion dinner to shout about. Every year, its the same dishes ever since I knew how to talk as a kid (I can name out all the dishes without batting an eyelid). Lobster meal!
Amidst the fireworks, guess what the imps in the house is up to? BBQ-ing lobsters and alaska king crabs for supper! Uncle brought them all back all the way from Seattle and then we brought them back into rengam from Singapore.. Yummy yummy stuff but a tad salty tho.. Natural sea salt favor. what was planned to be a lazing turned out quite eventful. der’s mum called me up in the early afternoon and asked me to play mahjong! i feel so much like a gambling queen. 4D, toto, mahjong (every other weekend). thank goodness my luck has been quite good on the mahjong table. i shared my game with der’s father since i have to leave to pick der up at the airport and by the time i returned late at night for another game, i ended the game with total winnings was $150 bucks?! i got $65 after the split and paying for the dinner. feel so guilty winning all the…
