Jerry’s 1st Hong Kong Disneyland adventure – Day 3 of our HK vacation
We trooped off to Hong Kong Disneyland on Day 3 of our hong kong vacation! Technically, it’s Jerry’s 2nd time at Disneyland cos he was in my tummy when I was in Paris Disneyland. on the train to Disney. with mummy. gripping on tightly to the handles.. arriving in disneyland hk. although the bub would probably not remember much about this trip, we still decided to make the trip there. since it is the week leading up to Halloween, the park is themed that way and even have special extended hours on 2 of the days till 11pm. we didn’t visit during the days with extended hours mostly to…

Day 2 of our Hong Kong vacation – Dim Sum in Hong kong!
Having dim sum in hong kong is a must-do when visiting hong kong! So, on day 2 of our hong kong vacation, we attempted to visit the famed Michelin star dim sum restaurant on Sunday morning, but was greeted with a huge crowd at the door. we stood around trying to get a number but didn’t manage to after like 10-15mins and decided that we were too hungry to hang around and left. vegetables and seafood stalls along a street, think it was soy street or another that’s parallel to that. butcher. I actually love visiting markets when I travel, and see the produce that they have available for sale.…

on vacation in Hong Kong.
am currently on vacation in hong kong, lazing around and not doing much. thats us checking into the hotel! the hotel looks pretty but the room is so tiny, I feel crammed with 3 of us in it. miss the prudential hotel that I last stayed in when I was here. in the tiny lift. we survived the flight with the little bub and just us two. its the first trip where there is only 3 of us, and Der & me were kinda nervous since our kid is so hyper. although he suddenly sprung awake when he got into the plane, he was only handful for a short while…

things to pack when travelling with a baby.
Am sharing what are the things to pack when travelling with a baby here! i usually do up a to-bring list before i start packing for all my trips and i guess it applies when it comes to packing for jerry when we were heading for kuching, his first flight out of a country. decided to document the list i have here and hopefully, it will be useful for other mummies who are intending to bring their kiddos abroad as a reference, as well as for my future reference. do take this as a rough guide since this list is uniquely catered to jerry (who is 14mths old) and his…

my kuching trip (part 2)
On day 3 of our Kuching trip, we visited the semenggoh nature reserve to check out some orang utans on the 3rd morning at my uncle’s suggestion. I was very very tempted to stay in bed but decided that maybe its good exposure for jerry and dragged our lazy bums out. the journey took about 20mins in a cab ride. talking about cabs, they are a rarity in kuching. very hard to find one randomly on the streets, they are almost non existent. only easily available at touristy areas or hotel lobbies. anyway, I digressed. that’s the ticket stud for entry. Malaysians cost 5rm, foreigners 10rm, seniors citizens at 3rm.…

my kuching trip (part 1)
kuching trip for 4 days and 3 nights, easily summed up just eating and sleeping. we did nothing much, mainly because there was nothing much to do, not much places to go.. and we were in too big a group (7 adults and 1 toddler) to actually plan everything down to a pat. besides, all everyone wanted was to chill and relax from the 2 hectic weekends of family activities/happenings so we pretty much did that. us on the flight, outbound to kuching. baby was generally well behaved for the most part but there was a bit delay in taking off and he actually finished his milk feed before the…

food expedition.
what msia means to me is always 2 things – family and good food. and no, in case you are wondering.. I am a Singaporean, except that I have a wee bit of Malaysia blood in me. with the family wedding yesterday, the family gathered in jb for a good feasting opportunity before the celebration. we trooped in bright and early on Saturday morning. first stop. I finally tried out the mee hoon kuay that derrick has been raving about for a while. this is near his johor office in so its pretty far off from the jb town because its in skudai. I think it taste pretty good.…

Day 4 in Bali – Dining in Bali (Last day of Babymoon)
Weird that I am finishing up my babymoon episode faster than the honeymoon episodes because the Europe trip has many more days to go and there’s just too many details because we were out and about everywhere and it takes a while to write while the bali trip has been nothing but food (dining in bali), eat, sleep and swim. On our last full day in Bali, we headed for lunch at wah wah burger, a restaurant that serves wagyu beef burgers and apparently is one of the most expensive burgers available or that many people has eaten. I do agree with the price tag (that’s it’s exorbitant)! That’s the…

Day 3 in Bali.. Our Bali vacation –
It’s my 2nd attempt drafting this and I do hope my phone app doesn’t have any error and eat up my Bali vacation entry like the last time! We had out for lunch in the late afternoon after a short swim. That typically has been our routine for the days spent in Bali.. I was craving for some local food and the cafe (Brasserie & Lounge) that we had lunch the day before do serve them so we headed back there! My caramel mikshake and the standard cola for der. It was a bad mistake because I think I felt sick right after all that milk on a near empty…
